The Heilbronn-born youngster has been with the club from Under-11 level and has progressed through all the various age groups since then. Last season, he made his first-team debut for VfB.

Everyone here at the club is determined to give Li every support along this path and we will definitely do so. Li knows what we think of him and the plans we have for him. Lilian Egloff: “VfB is my club. I’ve had some great experiences with the VfB youth teams, winning the league and the cup. I’d like to thank all the coaches, staff and employees at the youth academy who have been involved in my development. And I’d like to thank all those in charge at VfB for the enormous trust that they’ve shown in me by extending my contract through to 2024. I want to play my part in the club having a successful season and am really looking forward to the Bundesliga getting under way.”
