VfB’s last competitive match of the calendar year has been determined, with the DFB Cup second-round draw on Sunday pitting Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side against Freiburg at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. The game has been scheduled for Wednesday 23 December at 18:00 CET.
VfB Sporting director Sven Mislintat on the draw: "We’re delighted to have a home game in the DFB Cup again after a very long time without one. It’ll be an interesting and exciting match against Freiburg. We’ll do everything we can to get a better result against them than we did in the first Bundesliga game of the season."
