Ron-Robert Zieler has left VfB Stuttgart to join Hannover 96. Cologne-born Zieler, 30, moved to Stuttgart from Leicester City in the summer of 2017 and made 74 appearances between the posts in all competitions over the last two seasons.

“Ron has always given everything for VfB in the last two seasons and also conducted himself in an exemplary manner off the field. Over the last two weeks, it’s become increasingly clear that Ron wanted to move back to Hannover. Since we’re currently in final talks for the goalkeeper position, we’ve decided to let him leave early. We wish Ron and his family all the best for the future.”
