VfB winter signing Ozan Kabak on…
… his two headed goals against Hannover:
"Obviously those two goals mean a lot to me. Not only because they were my first as a professional, but more importantly, because I got off the mark in front of our own fans. I dedicate the goals to them. The most important thing was that I was able to help the team win."
… the difference between the Bundesliga and the Turkish Süper Lig:
"The pace of the game is quicker here and there's more pressure on you when you're in possession, which makes it harder to keep the ball in play – not to mention launching an attack. The Bundesliga is particularly good for young players like me who want to develop and take the next step forward. You have to run a lot more than you do in Turkey, too. The demands are greater here in a lot of areas, but I want to rise to those challenges and grow. That's why I'm here."
… choosing to join VfB:
"I've had a plan for my career from a very young age. My aim was to move from the Turkish Süper Lig to a top European league like the Bundesliga. I made a conscious decision to join VfB because the club is known for having helped a lot of talented youngsters in their careers, like Sami Khedira, to name just one example. I also already knew a lot about Mario Gomez and Andreas Beck from their time in Turkey."
