In August 2017, the 21-year-old midfielder made the move from Argentine first division club Estudiantes de La Plata to VfB, signing on in Stuttgart until June 30th, 2022.
In the jersey with the infamous hoop, and bearing the number 6, the Argentine made a total of 29 Bundesliga (27 starting eleven - one assist) and two DFB-Cup appearances last season.
