Positive record against Ralf Rangnick

Familiar faces
RB striker Timo Werner played in VfB Stuttgart’s youth teams and celebrated his Bundesliga debut with the Wasenelf in 2013. In 95 Bundesliga games, the now 22-year-old scored 13 goals for the Cannstatt Boys. Leipzig‘s head coach Ralf Rangnick also has some history with VfB. Between 1999 and 2001, Rangnick coached the Wasenelf in 61 Bundesliga matches, having previously spent time on the side-lines with VfB’s youth teams - from 1985 to 1987 with VfB II (reserves) and from 1990 until 1994 with the Under 19s, with whom he won the German championship in 1991.
