The VfB summer schedule

In preparing for the coming Bundesliga season, VfB will undertake two training camps. The first has already been finalised and will take place between July 10th and 15th in Grassau.

The final appointments for the VfB players in the 2016/2017 season are closing in: on Tuesday, coach Hannes Wolf’s eleven will play a charity game against SV Ringschnait & Friends in Biberach (kick-off 18:30 CET). Proceeds from the game will got to the financially troubled OFC Highlander. On Thursday, the VfB players will then be present at the official member’s assembly, before they head off for a well-earned summer break.

On July 3rd, the VfB crew will then begin preparations for the 2017/2018 Bundesliga season. Aside from the date being set for the beginning of pre-season preparations, there have also been further dates organised. From July 10th to 15th, the team will participate in a training camp in in Grassau am Chiemsee. A second training camp is scheduled for July 25th to August 2rd. The location is as yet undecided. The official season opening will take place on July 23rd – details will follow.

In mid-August, things then get serious for the Wasenelf: the first round of the DFB-Cup will be played out between August 11th and 14th. The following weekend, the 2017/2018 Bundesliga gets underway. The official fixture schedule will be released by the DFL on June 29th.
