Start into the New Year

On Tuesday, the VfB players began the New Year with a performance test. On Wednesday, the 23-man squad head to La Manga, Spain for their winter training camp.

On Wednesday, the VfB crew make their way to their winter training-camp in La Manga. Whilst in Spain, head-coach Hannes Wolf’s men will continue preparing for the second half of the Bundesliga season until January 9th. Christian Gentner & Co. were in action a day before, as they undertook their initial performance tests on the treadmill. Over the past two weeks, since the final competitive game in 2017, the VfB players have been working on individual training programmes.

As from Wednesday, the players will then begin with full team training once again. Whilst in La Manga, the Cannstatt Boys will play two test-friendlies against FC Twente Enschede (Saturday, January 6th, 15:00 CET in La Manga) and KV Oostende (Monday, January 8th, kick-off time and location yet to be finalised).
