No time to celebrate

There was a birthday-boy at the VfB training session on Thursday – but the work at hand naturally took top-priority.

In spite of turning 26 on Thursday, the same applied to Daniel Ginczek as it does to the rest of the VfB crew over the Easter holiday period: "There’s no time to celebrate," explained the striker in his birthday interview with VfB TV. Having received congratulatory wishes from his team mates at a mutual breakfast, there were then two sessions on the schedule at the VfB club grounds on the schedule, as the Cannstatt Boys prepared for the Easter Monday clash away to Arminia Bielefeld (kick-off 20:15 CET). The work continues then for the Wasenelf over the next few days behind closed doors.

Coach Hannes Wolf’s men go into their preparations for the game in Bielefeld with a positive feeling. "The derby win did us good. I hope that gives us a boost for the tasks ahead," commented Daniel Ginczek, continuing: "On Monday evening, under the floodlights on the Bielefelder Alm, we certainly won’t be receiving any gifts. We are going to have to put the leg-work in over the entire ninety minutes." Hopefully the Cannstatt Boys can provide their own gift – three further points!
