The procedure was carried out as planned on Tuesday at 'Klinikum Stuttgart' by Professor Dr. Dr. Dieter Weingart. A week ago, the VfB captain had an initial operation on his face, to repair the damage done in a clash during the Bundesliga game against VfL Wolfsburg. After his second surgical procedure, Christian Gentner is doing as well as could be expected under the circumstances and has taken his next step towards recovery.
