Quartet named in Germany World Cup squad

Deniz Undav, Alexander Nübel, Angelo Stiller and Jamie Leweling have all been called up by Julian Nagelsmann for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA.

Four VfB Stuttgart players have been included in Germany’s 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, which was announced by head coach Julian Nagelsmann at an official DFB (German Football Association) press conference on Thursday 21 May. Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, midfielder Angelo Stiller, winger Jamie Leweling and striker Deniz Undav will represent the Cannstatt club at the tournament in Canada, Mexico and the USA this summer.

Other VfB players heading to World Cup

Four other VfB stars are set to feature at the World Cup. Striker Ermedin Demirovic has been included in Bosnia & Herzegovina’s squad, attacker Bilal El Khannouss has made the cut for Morocco, and defender Luca Jaquez has been called up by Switzerland. Midfielder Atakan Karazor has also been named in Türkiye’s 35-man preliminary squad for the tournament.
