Sweeping onto the big stage

After enjoying a successful campaign at club level, eight VfB Stuttgart players have been called up by their respective national teams for the 2026 World Cup.

Never before have VfB Stuttgart been better represented on the biggest stage in world football. In Ermedin Demirovic (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Bilal El Khannouss (Morocco), Luca Jaquez (Switzerland), Jeremy Arevalo (Ecuador), Alexander Nübel, Jamie Leweling, Angelo Stiller and Deniz Undav (all Germany), the Cannstatt club have eight players preparing to head to North America, where the 2026 FIFA World Cup gets under way on Thursday 11 June.
