A quintet from Cannstatt will be on their international travels again in September. Alexander Nübel, Maximilian Mittelstädt, Angelo Stiller, Jamie Leweling and Nick Woltemade have been selected by coach Julian Nagelsmann for the first international break of the 2025/26 season. The German squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers was announced on Wednesday evening.
Slovakia and Northern Ireland in World Cup qualifying
The DFB Team will play two competitive fixtures during the international break, which begins on Monday 1 September. First up is a meeting in Slovakia on Thursday 4 September, which kicks off at 20:45 CEST in Bratislava. The second qualifier is at home to Northern Ireland on Sunday 7 September – the action in Cologne also begins at 20:45 CEST.
