Finn Jeltsch has had to withdraw from Germany U21 duty because of an inflammation in his lower leg. Head coach Antonio Di Salvo had named the defender in his provisional squad for the European Under-21 Championship, which is being held in Slovenia between 11 and 28 June.
Di Salvo’s squad are currently preparing for the tournament in the town of Blankenhain in Thuringia. Jeltsch, who joined VfB in January and was part of the side that won the DFB Cup last Saturday, had been selected for U21 duty for the first time.
