A great honour for Nick Woltemade: the VfB striker was selected for the senior German national team for the first time on Thursday. Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann announced his squad in Frankfurt for the UEFA Nations League Final Four tournament, which will be held in Munich and Stuttgart from 5 to 8 June. Woltemade is joined by team-mates Maximilian Mittelstädt, Alexander Nübel, Angelo Stiller and Deniz Undav, with VfB again boasting five German internationals for the upcoming international break.
The 23-year-old will also take part in the European Under-21 Championship, which is taking place from 11 to 28 June in Slovakia. As well as Woltemade, Finn Jeltsch is in the provisional Germany squad, while Enzo Millot has been called up to the French U21 team.
