Alexander Nübel, Maximilian Mittelstädt, Nick Woltemade and Deniz Undav are back in Stuttgart for their next international assignment: the UEFA Nations League third-place play-off between Germany and France at 15:00 CEST on Sunday.
At Germany’s press conference on Friday, Undav spoke about…
…playing in front of the Stuttgart crowd: “As I always say, it’s a big, beautiful stadium and it can get really loud. VfB have the best fans, which is why I’m sure we’ll also have a great crowd to help spur us on this Sunday. I’m looking forward to the game.”
…the task facing Germany against France: “We need every player to be at 100 percent – no matter whether they start the match or come off the bench. We want to finish in third place and win the game.”
…VfB’s end to the season: “My goal at Union Berlin [on Matchday 30] did me a lot of good – it was an important one for me. I worked very hard. With three straight Bundesliga wins and our victory in the DFB Cup final, it was a really good, celebratory end to the season.”
