Indian youngsters visit Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart recently played host to India’s Under-13 national team as part of the German Football League’s (DFL) ‘Bundesliga Dream’ project, which gives young players from all over the world the opportunity to experience a taste of German football culture.

VfB organised a varied programme for the youngsters’ visit, which included a stadium tour, training sessions and a special meet & greet with club legend Timo Hildebrand. As well as gaining an insight into VfB’s youth development strategy, they also got to watch VfB’s Under-17 clash with FC Bayern Munich and take on Stuttgart’s Under-13 side in a friendly match.

Unforgettable experience at Bundesliga clash

There was plenty to look forward to off the pitch, too. The young footballers took in a tour of Stuttgart and visited the Mercedes-Benz Museum, giving them the opportunity to explore the culture and history of the city. The highlight, though, was the Bundesliga match between VfB and FC Augsburg, which allowed them to experience the MHP Arena’s extraordinary atmosphere first-hand.

After four eventful days, the Indian delegation headed for home with lasting memories and countless new friendships. VfB Stuttgart reflects fondly on an inspiring visit and is pleased to have had another opportunity to play a leading role in fostering international ties through the ‘Bundesliga Dream’ project.
