The forthcoming international break will see a number of VfB players once again joining up with their national teams. The Germans will be involved in friendlies ahead of their home EURO, while others face tougher tests in qualifiers, either for that same tournament or for the World Cup.
Chris Führich has once again been called up to represent Germany. Coach Julian Nagelsmann’s side play friendlies at home to Turkey and away to Austria as they test out their form ahead of next year’s European Championship on home soil.
Meanwhile, Serhou Guirassy (Guinea), Silas (Democratic Republic of Congo), Hiroki Ito (Japan) and Wooyeong Jeong (South Korea) all have qualifiers with their countries for the 2026 World Cup.
In the youth age groups, Enzo Millot (France) and Leonidas Stergiou (Switzerland) will be involved in EURO U21 qualifying with their respective teams, with Jovan Milosevic doing likewise for Serbia at U19 level.
