International involvement

There are several VfB players on the road again for the third international break of the 2017/2018 season.

The eleventh match-day in the Bundesliga season is followed directly by the third international break of the 2017/2018 campaign. As a result, VfB head-coach Hannes Wolf will be without several of his players in daily training over the coming week. Benjamin Pavard, for example, has headed to the French national team quarters, as he prepares to make his ‚A‘ international debut. Emiliano Insua is set to make a return to the Argentina national team set-up. The winger made his last appearance for his country back in January 2011. For VfB’s Under 21 internationals, there are European Championship qualification points up for grabs.

Upon consultation with the respective national federations, Chadrac Akolo and Berkay Özcan, who are both carrying knocks, will not link up with their national teams.
