With Cacau attending the Christmas party hosted by VfB Foundation partner Instituto Sementinha, around 100 children enjoyed a special atmosphere of warmth, mutual appreciation and genuine Christmas spirit.
Alongside the head of the institute, Cacau spoke to the children about values such as respect, solidarity and the importance of education, inspiring and encouraging everyone present. This special day was supported by the VfB “Brustring der Herzen” foundation, who actively promoted the project and made an essential contribution.
Festive moments
“The Christmas party offered plenty of opportunities for personal moments and shared activities. After Cacau’s words of welcome, he spent time chatting with the children, before hot dogs, soft drinks and ice cream further added to the relaxed Christmas atmosphere. Photos were taken and gifts were handed out to round off the event.
“I really look forward to coming to this Christmas celebration every year,” said VfB legend Cacau, for whom this project is very close to his heart. “Many of the kids are living in similar circumstances to what I came from, and it’s just great to spend time with them and to give them some Christmas joy.”
Unforgettable memories
In the afternoon, the party was opened up into a celebration for the whole community, with bouncy castles, popcorn and candy floss filling the outdoor area with laughter, fun and a sense of togetherness. It was what Christmas is all about – sharing, spreading joy and spending time with friends and family.
The Instituto Sementinha’s Christmas party truly was a moving event, warming hearts and giving the children a positive outlook as they head into the new year with a sense of security and confidence.
