VfB Stuttgart back in the Football Money League

VfB Stuttgart are once again among the clubs with the highest revenue in world football. Ranked 18th in the latest edition of the renowned Deloitte Football Money League for the 2024/25 season, it marks VfB’s return to the list for the first time since 2009/10.

VfB recorded an exceptionally strong period of economic growth with revenue of €296.3 million, a 79 percent increase on the previous campaign and a key factor in their return to the top 20. This record upswing was driven primarily by the team’s recent on-field successes, including participation in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League, winning the DFB Cup, and securing a runners-up finish in the 2023/24 Bundesliga season.

Club CEO Alexander Wehrle expressed his joy at VfB’s ranking: “Our return to the Football Money League is a strong signal for us and the result of a collective effort. It shows just how much VfB have gained in profile, appeal and stability in recent years, both domestically and internationally. This growth encourages us to stay the course and pursue our path with determination.”

VfB are one of three Bundesliga clubs in the latest top 20. Bayern Munich were ranked in third place, while Borussia Dortmund were 12th. Real Madrid once again topped the list.
