VfB Stuttgart 1893 AG has made several new appointments to its supervisory board at its general assembly. Executive committee member Stefan Jung, entrepreneur and former club advisor Bernadette Martini, 2007 Bundesliga title winner Serdar Tasci and Klaus Rehkugler, Vice President Product Management & Global Training at Mercedes Benz, have all been elected. The appointments of Jung, Martini and Tasci fill three of the vacancies on the supervisory board, while Rehkugler replaces Peter Schymon, who stepped down on 30 June. Schymon’s successor as deputy chairman of the supervisory board is Franz Reiner.
The VfB Stuttgart 1893 AG supervisory board is therefore composed of the following members: Dietmar Allgaier (chairman), Franz Reiner (deputy chairman), Lutz Meschke (deputy chairman), Andreas Grupp, Stefan Jung, Tanja Gönner, Alexander Kläger, Bernadette Martini, Klaus Rehkugler, Albrecht Reimold, Tobias Röschl and Serdar Tasci.
Dietmar Allgaier, supervisory board chairman and club president: “I’m delighted to welcome four new members to the supervisory board in Bernadette Martini, Stefan Jung, Klaus Rehkugler and Serdar Tasci, who bring with them a broad range of expertise and experience. Their input will make them valuable additions to the work of the board. It was a big priority of ours to bring together different perspectives on the board, while also guaranteeing professional football expertise again through our personnel. On behalf of VfB Stuttgart as a whole, and personally, I’d like to thank Peter Schymon, who has played an active and committed role on the board for three and a half years.”
