Great honour for VfB Stuttgart in India

VfB Stuttgart's youth development project in India is continuing to take shape: As part of his stay in India for preparatory discussions on the upcoming second edition of the News9 Global Summit German Edition in Stuttgart, Rouven Kasper, VfB's Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, attended a ceremony honouring successful young football talents in New Delhi. As part of the Indian Football Association's "Tiger & Tigresses" competition, 30 girls and boys in the U13, U15 and U17 age groups have qualified for elite development programmes at VfB's partner club Sudeva Delhi FC, including a European tour that will end in Stuttgart.

”Tiger & Tigresses" is supported by India's TV9 News Network. The tour will also take the youngsters to Stuttgart, where they will spend several days with VfB's youth academy. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally congratulated the winners on their sporting success and expressed his delight at VfB's commitment to Indian football and the bilateral relations between the two countries. "It is a great honour and distinction for VfB to be part of the Indian Football Association's youth development programme," added Kasper. "Thanks to the tremendous support of TV9, we were also able to have a personal exchange with Prime Minister Modi as part of the ceremony and literally fly the flag for VfB Stuttgart and our region, both in practical terms and symbolically."
