News9 Global Summit to return to MHP Arena

The large international B2B event on 9 and 10 October 2025 will mark the 25-year anniversary of the close cooperation between India and Germany.

The MHP Arena in Stuttgart will again be the centre of bilateral collaboration between India and Germany on 9 and 10 October 2025. Leading figures from politics, business, culture and sport in both countries will devote themselves intensively and in many different ways to a 25-year success story at the News9 Global Summit Germany Edition 2025: the close cooperation between India and Germany on many levels.

Top-class speakers from India and Germany

As in 2024, TV9 Network, India’s largest broadcasting company, is acting as the host of the event, with VfB Stuttgart again involved as co-hosts. The B2B summit is also being supported by the state of Baden-Württemberg again this year. The News9 Global Summit Germany Edition offers top-class speakers, inspiration and panel talks across both days. Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office Florian Hahn, Bernd Lange, Chair of the European Parliament's Trade Committee, and World Cup winner Philipp Lahm are due to attend.

The state of Baden-Württemberg will be represented by Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann, Minister of Economic Affairs Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Theresa Schopper and Manna Lucha, Minister for Social Affairs, Health and Integration.

Like last year, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to speak at the summit via video broadcast. Anurag Thakur, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Coal, Mines and Steel, Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra State, and Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, are also among the attendees at the MHP Arena.

Ultimate networking platform for top decision-makers

The focus of the summit will be on central topics such as the significance of free trade agreements, global security questions, sustainable industry and green mobility. The relevance of sport, culture and education to the decades-long successful bridging between Germany and India will also be highlighted. In addition, the News9 Global Summit Germany Edition will again present itself as the ultimate networking platform, where top decision-makers from India and Germany come together at the MHP Arena.

“We are delighted and honoured that Stuttgart and the MHP Arena can again welcome the News9 Global Summit Germany Edition this year,” stated Rouven Kasper, chief marketing and sales officer at VfB Stuttgart. “Last year’s successful premiere already provided important impetus, which we now want to build on together. Baden-Württemberg, our city, our whole economic region as well as VfB Stuttgart and our partner network will benefit long-term from this Indian-German economic forum.”

“The News9 Global Summit Germany is a unique platform for exchange between Germany and India,” said Florian Hassler, State Secretary for Political Coordination, Europe and International Affairs. “This year, we are celebrating 25 years of strategic cooperation and the tenth anniversary of our state partnership with Maharashtra. In view of the current global challenges, the summit will focus on new investments, technology and the recruitment of skilled workers. It is my great pleasure to welcome high-ranking guests from politics, business and science to Stuttgart on 9 and 10 October 2025.”
