Important visitor information for the home match against Maccabi Tel Aviv

VfB Stuttgart host Maccabi Tel Aviv in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday 11 December. Kick-off at the MHP Arena is at 18:45 CET. Visitors are strongly advised to arrive at the stadium as early as possible due to stringent access controls.

Entry to the MHP Arena

  • The safety plan for this home match will involve very stringent access controls and take up significantly more time than usual. Visitors should arrive at the stadium as early as possible.
  • Doors will open from 16:45 CET. Long waits are expected at the entrances. Visitors who arrive at the MHP Arena after around 17:15 CET should expect that, under the circumstances, they may miss kick-off. There will not be a reduction or acceleration of the access controls towards kick-off.
  • Metal detectors will also be used extensively during personal checks. In cases of justified suspicion, thorough checks will be carried out by the police.
  • Bags, rucksacks, handbags and bum bags of any kind or size are not permitted. Free storage facilities are available around the MHP Arena. These are located at ticket office 4, car park P3, near ticket offices 1 and 2, and for visiting fans at P8.
  • Upon entry, all items must be removed from jacket pockets, jackets should be opened in advance for better inspection, and headgear must be removed.
  • Apart from the Cannstatter Kurve and the away fan section, the carrying and display of flags, banners, signs and fan paraphernalia of any kind – with the exception of jerseys, scarves and hats – is not allowed.
  • The police will maintain a visible armed presence around the MHP Arena and at the arena entrances to ensure safety.
  • Unacceptable or uncooperative behaviour during the admission procedure will lead to an immediate ban for this matchday.
  • VfB Stuttgart asks all visitors for their understanding that all measures are designed to ensure the safe running of this home match. Disrupting the work of the security personnel will only lead to delays in entering the arena.

Inside the MHP Arena

  • Security staff are required to intervene immediately in the event of any form of disruption or provocative behaviour in the stands. The display of flags, banners, signs and messages of any kind outside the Cannstatter Kurve and the away fan section will be immediately stopped by security staff.
  • Disruptive individuals and persons who fail to follow instructions from security personnel will be immediately ejected from the stadium.
  • Consideration and respect for one another are required. Please be mindful of the needs of those sitting next to you and ensure that the MHP Arena remains a place where everyone feels comfortable.
