Beate Beck-Deharde leaves board

VfB Stuttgart 1893 AG supervisory board member steps down.

Beate Beck-Deharde informed the supervisory board, the executive committee and the club advisory body on Sunday that she would be stepping down from her role as member of the supervisory board with immediate effect. VfB Stuttgart was, however, surprised to learn that the businesswoman, who had been part of the board since September 2022, also communicated her letter of resignation to a number of media outlets at the same time.

“While we respect Ms. Beck-Deharde’s personal decision, it should be noted that how she chose to go about this is not in keeping with the constructive and trusting practice that has returned to VfB,” stressed Dietmar Allgaier, chairman of the supervisory board and president.

“We would also like to point out in the clearest possible terms that the content of her statement was incorrect. The 50+1 rule is and will continue to be fully guaranteed at VfB Stuttgart. The assertions made are without substance or basis and attack the integrity of the committees, offices and individuals. Personnel changes will instead take into account the stable and supportive culture that has now returned for good.

“Nevertheless, we would like to thank Ms. Beck-Deharde for her work at VfB in a position of responsibility.”
