After the red away jersey was unveiled last week, VfB have now launched their black third kit for the upcoming campaign, completing the set which symbolises the club’s close ties with Stuttgart, a city located between forest and vines.
Leaves symbolising forests in and around Stuttgart
In addition to the familiar basic design in black, made up of various types of leaves which symbolise the forests in and around Stuttgart, there are gold elements decorating the front of the jersey. The VfB crest and the lettering of kit supplier JAKO feature in glittering gold, as do the numbers on the back, completing what is a very stylish overall look. The Württemberg stag’s antlers from the VfB crest are embroidered on the back of the round black collar, while the details on the interior of the jersey create a link with the red away jersey and the combined history between the club and the region.
The black jersey is available now in women’s, men’s and children’s sizes, both online and in the VfB fan shops at the stadium, in the Stuttgart city centre and at the Breuningerland shopping centre in Ludwigsburg. Like the home and red away kits, they are made entirely of recycled materials and the prices have been maintained at €84.99 for adults (sizes S to 5XL) and €64.99 for children (sizes 116 to 164).
Pink goalkeeper jersey available
A pink goalkeeper jersey, hotly coveted by a select band of fans, has also been available since the beginning of the week and slots in with the rest of the new shirts for the forthcoming Bundesliga season with its matching look. It is available now in men’s and children’s sizes at the previously mentioned outlets.
