Stefan Jung was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of VfB Stuttgart 1893 e.V. on 22 March 2025 and the Supervisory Board of VfB Stuttgart 1893 AG on 1 July 2025. He was born on 15 February 1980 in Albstadt-Ebingen and grew up in the Swabian Alps. Following his bachelor's degree in economics from a global programme at Copenhagen Business School, the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and Tsinghua University in Beijing, he studied in the MBA programme at London Business School, and later completed executive education in leadership at Harvard Business School.
Stefan started his career as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company in the Stockholm, Copenhagen, Munich and New York offices. As founder of several technology companies, such as Zalora, Lazada, HappyFresh, Rocket Internet Asia and Venturra, Stefan successfully built and listed several ventures (on the New York Stock Exchange and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange) or had companies acquired (by Alibaba, FWD Group, and Delivery Hero). After his career as a technology entrepreneur, he co-founded Antler Innovation in 2018 to support the next generation of founders. Antler is a global venture capital firm with 30 offices worldwide, over one billion in assets under management and is one of the largest platforms for start-ups today. He has been working there part-time since 2022 and is no longer responsible for the day-to-day business of the management team. Stefan was engaged on the board for technology in Asia at the World Economic Forum and is active as a guest lecturer at universities worldwide, such as Harvard University and Stanford University, to encourage students to choose the path of entrepreneurship. Stefan also served as a board member in over a dozen companies and led committees on the topics of finance, digitisation, and internationalisation.
In his free time he enjoys traveling with his family, doing sports (tennis and running), buying lots of books (then only reading half of them), collecting football shirts and accompanying his beloved VfB Stuttgart to away matches, as he has been doing for the last 30 years.
