VfB trainer Hannes Wolf: "It was a fair draw. So far as our defensive stability was concerned, we did very well today. There were just two counter-attacks that we didn’t defend well from and we had a bit of luck on our side. Additionally, we have a very good goalkeeper in Ron-Robert Zieler. We developed a lot of situations on the offensive, but they only led to half-chances and not clear situations. I am very satisfied with the willingness displayed by my team. To put in a performance like this one today at the end of such a busy week of football is fantastic – also considering the fact we were without Christian Gentner and Chadrac Akolo."
Daniel Ginczek: "We were well aware of Augsburg currently successful run and the fact that they are in good form right now. It’s a shame we didn’t win today, but it was also good that we kept a clean-sheet at the back and that we are without a defeat at home all year. The 20 minutes that I played were very important for me in getting back into the flow. I hope to remain healthy now and get to play more often. I get goose-bumps all over every time I play here."
Ron-Robert Zieler: "It was important not to conceded today in our third home game. We are very solid in our home games. Offensively we are struggling a little at the moment – that’s something we have to work on. We would of course have liked to have continued our run of wins in our own stadium."
