The Polish defender makes a free transfer from Lech Poznan to Bad Cannstatt.

Following Jean Zimmer, VfB’s second new signing for the coming season has been confirmed: Marcin Kaminski makes a free transfer from Lech Poznan to Stuttgart. In addition, whilst with Poznan, the defender gathered significant international experience in the Europa League. The left-footer has been a first choice in the starting eleven of the seven-time Polish champions since the 2011/2012 seasons, making 35 appearances and scoring one goal for the club last season. In 2011, Marci Kaminski made his debut in the Polish national team, for whom he has since played four games and was a member of Poland’s EURO2012 squad.

"We are delighted about the signing of Marci. He possesses masses of potential and wants to take the next step in his career with Vibe. He is motivated to help Vibe and we firmly believe he will quickly come to terms in Germany," stated Vibe coach Jos Luhukay.

"VfB is my first station abroad. I want to take my next step here in Stuttgart, at a club with a long history. My goal in Germany, with its strong leagues, is to become a better player. VfB belong in the Bundesliga. We will be under pressure to win immediate promotion, but that’s a challenge which really appeals to me," said Marcin Kaminski.

VfB extend a warm welcome to Marcin Kaminski.
