Nicolás Gonzalez makes an immediate move from Asociación Atlética Argentinos Juniors in Argentina’s Primera División to VfB Stuttgart. Last season, the 20-year-old striker made 24 league appearances, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.
At VfB, the left-footer signed a contract valid until June 30th, 2023 and will wear the number 22 jersey with the infamous hoop.
Sporting Director Michael Reschke: "Nicolás Gonzalez has a huge heart, powerful assertiveness, a battling mentality and good technical prerequisites. He can be utilised variably in attack. We are delighted to have been able to convince him to make a move to VfB. We must and intend to give him the necessary time to mature and we shouldn’t expect too much from him in his first few months here. In completing this transfer, we must particularly compliment Markus Lösch and our entire scouting department, who once again did some excellent work in securing the transfer of Nicolás Gonzalez."
