Reunited
In Marc Oliver Kempf, VfB face one of their former captains this weekend. Kempf joined Hertha in January last year after making 96 appearances for Stuttgart across all competitions, in which he scored nine goals and set up a further five.

VfB boss Sebastian Hoeneß takes on Hertha’s Pal Dardai for the third time in his career. Hoeneß faced Dardai twice during his time as TSG Hoffenheim coach, triumphing 2-1 in 2020/21 and 2-0 the following campaign.
