An intensive week of training for the VfB squad ahead of Sunday’s trip to Munich began with new signing Ozan Kabak taking part for the first time. The 18-year-old completed his first full session, which started with a 25-minute workout in the gym before he joined the other 21 outfield players for a 90-minute session out on the training pitch. This included a warm-up, passing exercises and various tactical drills, while the goalkeepers spent the majority of their time doing goalkeeper-specific training.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Pavard was also back out on the pitch. The centre-back has not yet returned to full training after recovering from a thigh injury, but he did spend the whole time working individually on his fitness, just metres away from his teammates.
