After starting preparations for the 2019/20 Bundesliga 2 season on Thursday, VfB played their first friendly of the summer in Ilshofen on Sunday afternoon. Head coach Tim Walter's charges earned an 11-0 victory over a regional Hohenlohe XI in a one-sided encounter.
Tim Walter: "I think we were lively today. We did a lot of the things I wanted us to do. We've worked hard over the past few days, so I'm satisfied with the way the boys played. The support of our fans is amazing. They were terrific on Thursday and were so again today in Ilshofen."
