Having secured a 4-0 win in their first pre-season friendly against SSV Reutlingen last Friday, VfB prepare for two further friendly clashes this week. On Wednesday, head coach Tayfun Korkut and his men travel to Bavarian 'Regionalliga' (fourth division) side FV Illertissen (kick-off 18:30 CEST), before playing host to SG Sonnenhof Großaspach at the VfB club grounds on Saturday (15:00 CEST).
As the Robert-Schlienz-Stadion is currently under construction, with new modernisation measures being implemented, the side in the shirts with the infamous hoop must host the third-flight side on the neighbouring training-grounds. For organisational reasons, fans will not be permitted entry to the training-grounds on Saturday. Instead, the VfB fateful can remain up to date through VfB’s official social-media channels, with information and photos from the match.
For the up-coming friendly games, Tayfun Korkut can call upon the services of Holger Badstuber, who returned to full team training a week ago.
