Hannes Wolf: "We knew Schalke would put the pressure on early in the game and that we would need to try resist that, but we then suffered an early setback. However, we played well in the first-half and created two or three clear chances. At the beginning of the second-half, we made two or three clear mistakes and conceded two goals, which left us chasing the game. Considering the chances in the second period, it was a deserved win for Schalke."
Christian Gentner: "This is a very frustrating defeat because we cost ourselves a possible reward today. We had some particularly good passages in the first-half, but we ultimately made errors which we couldn’t correct. We learned a hard lesson today."
Andreas Beck: "The first-half was quite decent on the whole. We recovered well having conceded the early goal and had high-hopes for the second period as we went in at the break. Conceding the second gaol and then a third directly after was the knock-out blow for us."
