On Tuesday morning, the VfB crew made their way to their second pre-season training camp in Neustift in Stubaital. There, Christian Gentner & Co. will spend nine days working on their form ahead of the 2017/2018 season. The period will also include three test friendly matches. Following a work-out on the VfB grounds in Stuttgart on Tuesday morning, the participating players boarded the team bus. The travelling group did not include Carlos Mané (rehabilitation training following knee surgery) and Jérôme Onguéné (muscle sinew tear to the hip area). The Frenchman will continue to work on his return at the VfB Reha-Welt. A further absentee is Hans Nunoo Sarpei, who is currently on trial at Dutch first division side VVV Venlo.
