A week after VfB secured promotion to the Bundesliga with a 4-1 win over FC Würzburger Kickers, Hannes Wolf and his side presented themselves for the fans in the local region. The team in the shirts with the infamous red hoop took to the TSV Ilshofen grounds on Sunday, where they took on a Hohenlohe selection, which included former Bundesliga professional Marco Sailer. VfB made the trip with a somewhat depleted squad – for example without top-scorer Simon Terodde. In the end, VfB lost the game 2-4.
VfB goals: 1-1 (Werner 21'), 2-2 (Green 57')
