White-Red growth figures

Whether it be average attendances, club memberships or jersey sales – the numbers are increasing at VfB.

VfB’s three home games thus far in the 2017/2018 season have been attended by an average crowd of 53,000 – putting VfB in fourth place in the attendance ratings in the Bundesliga. And that figure will increase further on Friday evening, when Hannes Wolf and his men play host to 1. FC Köln at 20:30 CET in the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Currently there are barely 1,000 tickets still available for the tie (stand Wednesday evening). It will be VfB’s biggest home crowd of the season thus far – and the remaining home games are also guaranteed to draw extremely good crowds.

The home game against Borussia Dortmund on November 17th is already completely sold-out – a situation which implies to almost all of the games to be played at the Mercedes-Benz Arena this year. In addition, the club membership figures are also consistently rising: now, almost 58,000 fans have declared their dedication to the club from Cannstatt.

There has also been a significant increase in jersey sales: In comparison with this stage of the previous campaign, the White-Reds have sold over 40% more replica shirts. "The team themselves have a significant role to play in these figures – and they are very thankful for that. I would also like to express my gratitude to the members and fans for their unyielding support in recent months," stated VfB President Wolfgang Dietrich on Wednesday.
