In the week following VfB's final Bundesliga game on Saturday, May 8th against Hoffenheim in Sinsheim, trainer Christian Gross' men will play three friendly games. In the three games, captain Matthieu Delpierre & Co. will take the opportunity to thank the fans for their support throughout the season: "For the whole year, our fans have been coming to us at the Mercedes-Benz Arena or travelling to see us away from home and giving us their support. Now we are going to turn things around and come to them," said Executive Representative for Sport Horst Heldt.
Full programme in Ebersbach
On Tuesday, May 11th, the best team in the second half of the Bundesliga season will take on FC Wangen, the top side in the Wangen Landesliga (kick-off 6:30pm). Then on Thursday, May 13th (kick-off 3:30pm, VfB will face SV Ebersbach. The ‘Landesliga' side have set up a full programme as part of their ‘Father's Day' celebrations including, live music, sport acrobatics and an autograph signing session with the VfB players. To end the tour, on Friday, May 14th (kick-off 6pm), Gross' men will play ‘Bezirksliga' club SC Ilsfeld.
