The amateurs from sixth division SV Falkensee-Finkenkrug will take on VfB Stuttgart in the first round of the DFB-Cup. The clash with the Bundesliga club is the greatest success in SV’s history. Trainer Frank Rohde commented on the up-coming game: “Our club may never experience anything like this again. It’s an absolutely unique highlight which we can all enjoy together.”

The game (Saturday, 18.08.2012 kick-off 3:30pm) will be played at the ‘Karl-Liebknecht-Stadium’ in Potsdam as the club’s own stadium is too small to host the tie. For VfB manager Fredi Bobic, there is no questioning that his side must progress to the net round: “This cup game will surely be a massive public event in Falkensee. For us it’s a compulsory task – we must win there at all costs.”
