VfB Stuttgart fans can now begin to make more definite plans. The German Football League (DFL) have set the exact fixture dates and kick-off times for the first six match days of the new Bundesliga season.
The first game against VfL Wolfsburg, on August 26th at the Mercedes-Benz Arena will be played on a Sunday, as will the subsequent south German derby clash with FC Bayern Munich. The prior Thursday on each occasion will see VfB in action in UEFA Europa League play-offs.
Following the international break, the second home game of the campaign against Fortuna Düsseldorf will be at the classic kick-off time of 3:30pm on Saturday, September 15th. In Bremen, Labbadia’s men will be in action again on a Sunday before then playing in Hoffenheim the following Wednesday and on Saturday in Nuremberg.
