Conquering 600 meters

On Tuesday afternoon, the VfB players took to their mountain bikes for the second time in St. Moritz as part of their training camp. The target for today's three-hour tour was Maloja. Mountain-bike guide Jürg Roth and his colleagues were back again and this time they had quite a strenuous route worked out for the lads. "This route has quite a challenging level of difficulty. They will all feel it in their legs tomorrow," admitted Jürgen Roth before Christian Gross gave his men the go-ahead. Over the 30 kilometre course, there was a 600 meter incline to master - a true challenge, even for well trained professional footballers.

Reward in the Beach Club

In Majola it wasn't all over though. Christian Gross had arranged a reward for the top performance in the saddle by his men - and it was a reward of a rather special kind. The coaching staff along with the complete team got the opportunity to wind down from the strenuous cycling tour at the Beach Club in Lake Silvaplana, where they could enjoy some very different sports and activities.
