VfB sign Cristian Molinaro
On Monday night, heading into Tuesday morning, Executive Representative for Sport Horst Heldt greeted new signing Cristian Molinaro at the VfB training camp.
The left full-back from Juventus Turin has signed a loan deal with VfB Stuttgart which will initially see him stay at the club until the end of the 2009/2010 season.
Tired but happy, the 26 year old Italian clambered out of the mini-bus at the La Manga Club Resort at 1am: "It was a long day and a long journey. I'm just happy to be here now," commented the defender, who was born in Moio della Civitella.
A clear perception of his new tasks
"I'm looking forward to the Bundesliga," said Molinaro, who has a very clear perception of his new tasks: "VfB are currently not in the position that the club normally deserve to be in. The team is better than its current place in the table. I will be doing all in my power to ensure things take a turn for the better again at VfB," concluded the defender before heading for his room.
