VfB sign Celozzi and Schwarz

Stefano Celozzi, from relegated Bundesliga side Karlsruher SC, will be playing his football for VfB Stuttgart from the beginning of the new season. Following a medical examination, the 20 year old full back, who made 27


Bundewsliga appearances last season, will sign a contract with VfB until June 30th 2012. The fee involved in the transfer remains undisclosed.

Sport director Horst Heldt: "Stefano Celozzi is versatile in the wide positions and is one of the greatest talents in German football in his age group. He displayed the great potential he possesses last season and we are convinced that he can take the next step in his development with us."


VfB Stuttgart have also signed Matthias Schwarz from FC Ingolstadt. The 21 year old midfield player went through a youth apprenticeship at FC Bayern Munich and made 26 appearances for Ingolstadt in the second division last season. Following the successful completion of a medical examination, Schwarz is expected to sign a deal with VfB until June 30th 2011.
